A perfect display of marine life and island heritage, Samudrika museum is one of the major Andaman tourist attractions. A magnificent skeleton of blue whale greets you at the entrance intriguing you at the very beginning. The museum hosts five sections or rooms – where aquariums house exuberant fish species like parrot fish and stone fish, mesmerizing corals, exotic shells, species of snakes and butterflies and history of tribal life is on exhibit. Samudrika museum is a significant Andaman tourist spot as it was built to spread awareness about marine life and is managed by the Indian navy.
